Lo único que le faltaba a Primal Scream en su ya muy larga carrera era un album pop.  «Balas azucaradas» decia Bobby Gillespie que contenía el mas nuevo disco de Primal Scream, Beautiful Future, y muy lejos de la verdad no estaba.  Can’t Go Back fue el primer single de ese disco.
