Una de las primeras cosas a notar al visitar el myspace de The Alones, son sus influencias. Oasis, U2, The Beatles, The Who. He aquí una banda que no tiene miedo de decir que son fans de las bandas mas grandes y populares, que quieren hacer canciones con coros épicos y que quieren ir por todo. Ciertamente muestran sus influencias en sus canciones, y Silver no es la excepción. Single debut de este grupo oriundo de Stoke, ya llamaron la atención del NME y el sensacionalista The Sun lo tuvo como single de la semana. ¿Qué tan lejos llegarán? No lo podemos saber, pero al menos si llegaron a esta lista y la inauguran, quedando en el #100.
