Segun cuenta la historia, Rivers Cuomo se presentó ante los ejecutivos de su disquera con una probada de las nuevas canciones de Weezer. Las escucharon y le dijeron que estaban bien, pero no había una canción que fuera un «hit».  Rivers se enojó y como respuesta escribió esta canción.  En mi opinión, lo deberían hacer enojar más seguido.
