«Watch the murder of your way of life»

Hace un par de años, los australianos de The Temper Trap sacaron un E.P. que si bien fue reconocido crícticamente, también era criticado porque sonaba a «más de lo mismo».  Esto era, sonido de típica banda indie post-Libertines, sin mucho chiste y lo más simple posible.  Ellos reaccionaron un poco a esas primeras críticas, y decidieron trabajar en redefinir su sonido.  El primer resultado de eso fue esta canción, que es realmente diferente a lo que eran, y que les empezó a abrir las puertas de un público más amplio, aunque todavía faltaba lo mejor para ellos.
