A los 18 años, Lucy Rose dejo su casa en Surrey para ir a estudiar Geografía en Londres. O eso pensaron sus padres, ya que Lucy prácticamente no fue a la escuela, y se dedicó a escribir canciones y tocar en cualquier lugar que pudiera. Fan de Bombay Bicycle Club, un día Lucy logró darle sus demos a Jack Steadman, en los tiempos en que Bombay todavía tocaban en lugares muy pequeños. Jack la invitó a cantar en algunas canciones del disco Flaws. Y ahí empezó todo.
