Recién empezaba el 2014 cuando Wild Beasts daban a conocer Wanderlust, que fungió como primer sencillo del Present Tense, que terminaría siendo el disco más exitoso de Wild Beasts hasta la fecha. Que no significa que el mejor, ya cada quien podrá dar su opinión al respecto. Wanderlust provocó un poco de polémica cuando salió debido a que se entiende que hay un pequeño ataque a bandas como los Arctic Monkeys en la letra, algo que Hayden Thorpe en su momento no negó, pero después que se creó la polémica, se apresuró a desmentir.
