En el 2014, Superfood tomaron el Reino Unido por sorpresa con su excelente debut Don’t Say That. Bueno, tal vez no llego el éxito comercial que otras bandas de su ciudad y generación como Peace o Swim Deep lograron, pero el marcado sonido britpop del disco les trajo muchos fans, no menos en este blog. Sin embargo, algo no terminó de funcionar. Poco de un año después, el cuarteto se convertía en dueto, bajista y baterista dejaron la banda, se quedaron sin contrato discográfico y el futuro parecía incierto. Sin embargo, Dom Ganderton y Ryan Malcolm decidieron tomarlo como una oportunidad para renacer. El sonido de la banda cambio casi totalmente, lograron un contrato con el sello indie de moda Dirty Hit, y entregaron un gran segundo disco titulado Bambino en este 2017. Nada mejor para ejemplificar la gran fiesta que es el disco que su canción inicial, Where’s The Bass Amp?
