No se puede dejar de pensar que la vida ha sido injusta con los Mystery Jets. Ahora una banda ya veterana y de cierta manera de culto, pero aun así nunca han tenido un disco que haya pasado del top 30 en las listas británicas. De hecho Curve of the Earth, donde viene incluida Bubblegum, ha sido su disco con mayor posición en el ranking, siendo justamente número treinta a principios de este año.
